Quinine Dihydrochloride (600mg ក្នុង 2ml)

ប្រើចំពោះ - ជំងឺគ្រុនចាញ់ដែលបង្ករឡើងដោយ Plasmodium falciparum (ប្រើជាមួយថ្នាំប្រ ឆាំងជំងឺគ្រុនចាញ់ដ៌ទៃទៀត)។ 

កំរិត របៀបប្រើ និងការផ្តល់ថ្នាំ -

• ដំបូង 20mg ក្នុង 1kg IV (ច្រើនបំផុតគឺ 1400mg) ក្នុង 250ml ទៅ 500ml នៃ NS រឺ D5 ដោយព្យួររយះពេល ៤ម៉ោង។ ពេលរួចហើយ ចាំ៤ម៉ោង។
• បន្ទាប់មក 10mg ក្នុង 1kg IV (ច្រើនបំផុតគឺ 700mg) ក្នុង 250ml ទៅ 500ml នៃ NS រឺ D5 ដោយព្យួរ រយះ ពេល៤ម៉ោង។ អោយថ្នាំ បន្ទាប់រៀងរាល់៨ម៉ោង រហូតដល់អ្នកជំងឺអាចលេបថ្នាំវិញបាន។ 

ការហាមឃាត់ - ស្រ្តីមានផ្ទៃពោះ (ទាល់តែមានអត្តប្រយោជន៏ចំពោះម្តាយច្រើនជាង គ្រោះថ្នាក់ដល់ទារកក្នុងផ្ទៃ)។

ការប្រុងប្រយ័ត្នជាពិសេស - ស្រ្តីបំបៅដោះកូន

ផលវិបាក - សម្ពាធឈាមទាប, ចង្វាក់បេះដូងមិនទៀងទាត់, ជាតិស្ករក្នុងឈាមចុះទាប cinchonism (ហ៊ឹងត្រចៀក និងថ្លង់)។

ឱសថវិទ្យា - ថ្នាំប្រឆាំងជំងឺគ្រុនចាញ់។ 

Quinine Dihydrochloride (600mg in 2ml)

Indications – severe plasmodium falciparum malaria (use in conjunction with other antimalarials)

Dosage and administration –

•  Loading dose – 20mg/kg IV (max 1400mg) in 250ml–500ml NS/D5, infuse over 4 hours
• Maintenance dose – 10mg/kg IV (max 700mg) in 250ml–500ml NS/D5, infuse over 4 hours Commence maintenance 4 hours after loading dose completed. Administer maintenance dose every 8 hours, until the patient is converted to oral treatment

Contraindications - pregnancy (unless the potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the foetus)

Special precautions – lactation

Adverse drug reactions – hypotension, cardiac arrhythmia, hypoglycemia, cinchonism (tinnitus & deafness)
