Dexamethasone (4mg ក្នុង 1ml)

ប្រើចំពោះ - ហើមខួរក្បាល, រលាកស្រោមខួរក្បាលបង្ករដោយបាក់តេរី

កំរិត  របៀបប្រើ - 

• ហើមខួរក្បាល: 10mg IV បន្ទាប់មកចាក់ 4mg IV/IM រៀងរាល់ ៦ម៉ោង។
• រលាកស្រោមខួរបង្ករដោយបាក់តេរី: 0.15mg ក្នុង 1kg រៀងរាល់ ៦ម៉ោង។

ការផ្តល់ថ្នាំ - ចាក់ IV លាយជាមួយ NS ដោយរយះពេលនៃការចាក់ គឺ ៥នាទី។ បើចាក់ IM គឺមិនបាច់លាយទេ។ 

ការហាមឃាត់ - ស្រ្តីមានផ្ទៃពោះ (ទាល់តែមាន អត្តប្រយោជន៏ចំពោះ ម្តាយច្រើនជាងគ្រោះថ្នាក់ដល់ទារកក្នុងផ្ទៃ)។

ការប្រុងប្រយ័ត្នជាពិសេស - ស្រ្តីបំបៅដោះកូន, ដំបៅក្រពះ, ប្រើជាមួយ aspirin រឺថ្នាំប្រឆាំងកំនកឈាម រឺ NSAIDs។

ផលវិបាក - ដំបៅក្រពះ, ជាតិស្ករក្នុងឈាមកើនឡើង, ពន្យាពេលឈាមកក។ 

ឱសថវិទ្យា - ស្តេរ៉ូអ៊ីត (បន្ថយការរលាកនិងបន្ថយសកម្មភាពរបស់ ប្រពន្ធ័ភាពសុំា)។

Dexamethasone (4mg in 1ml)

Indications – cerebral edema, bacterial meningitis

Dosage – 

• Cerebral edema - 10mg IV, followed by 4mg IV/IM every 6 hours
• Bacterial meningitis - 0.15mg/kg every 6 hours

Administration – administer IV diluted with NS, inject over 5 minutes. Administer IM undiluted.

Contraindications - pregnancy (unless the potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the foetus)

Special precautions – lactation, gastric ulcer, concurrent therapy with aspirin/anticoagulant/NSAIDs

Adverse drug reactions – gastric ulcer, hyperglycemia, prolonged bleeding time

Pharmacology – corticosteroid (decreases inflammation and decreases the activity of the immune system)
